Carol Elizabeth Stevens, loved NASCAR and chocolate chip cookies

Heaven gained a special lady on Sunday June 9, 2019.

Carol, better known as Miss Carol to many, passed after a brief illness.

Carol spent many years working and volunteering with both ACT and the NASCAR world.  Carol Graduated from Montpelier High School and began her career with VT State Government.

Upon retiring as Business Manager with the Dept.of Public Safety, she embarked on her lifelong dream "working for Competition Tire Racing and Penske Racing Shocks, Reading, PA."  She travelled the NASCAR circuit fulfilling her racing dreams. She left Competition Tire, moved to Mooresville, NC where she built her new home and continued working for NASCAR. Her last stint with the racing world was her employment with Stewart-Haas Racing. She was well known in the NASCAR circuit as a dedicated, hard-working, no-nonsense person, and famous for Miss Carol’s chocolate chip cookies. She only asked for the return of the container so she could refill it for the winning race team the following weekend.

We, who knew Carol, can tell those up above that "they better have their stuff together as there's a new Mayor in town.”

She had a kind heart and cared for those close to her.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family Information

She was born in Barre, Vermont, to the late Lena and Dick Stevens. She was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Stevens and her sister Beverly Bushey. She is survived by her two nieces Pati Stutes of Texas and Tina Vandenburg of New Hampshire.
