After escaping the battlefield, one Ukrainian family has found purpose assisting Agape Ministries in renovating a shuttered nursing home to house others similarly displaced.
An auction benefiting Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Fund has been added to the Northeast Kingdom town’s annual Independence Day celebration.
“Ukraine's fight to protect their people, their rights and their land, and what that means for democracies across the globe is too important for us to sit out,” Scott said. “We must do our part.”
More than 25 years ago, Randolph established sister-city connections with Myrhorod, Ukraine. Town residents who have spent time in Myrhorod are working to raise money and figure out how to directly help their friends abroad.
