Police on Wednesday identified Dieter Seier, 67, of Cornish, New Hampshire, as the person Jay Wilson, 45, of Woodstock, shot and killed Tuesday afternoon. Wilson died of a self-inflicted gunshot after an hourslong standoff, police said.
