Middlebury College removes Mead Chapel name over namesake’s role in eugenics

Lincoln votes 525-172 to withdraw from school district

Lincoln residents voted Tuesday to withdraw from the Mount Abraham Unified School District, with 525 voting in favor of leaving and 172 for staying. Around 63% of registered voters turned out.


Middlebury Bridge and Rail Project to be completed next month, after delays

The four-year project to replace two bridges with a rail tunnel, update town green spaces and repave roads will be finished around Labor Day weekend. Community groups are planning a celebration this Saturday of the project’s completion.
