Waterbury's popular River of Light Lantern Parade returned on Saturday to everyone's great delight. Lantern-bearers young and old proudly marched through the evening's flurries to celebrate the twelfth iteration of the festivities.
Last year's parade was a much tamer event, relegated to a drive-through amid the Covid-19 pandemic. But this year, everyone gathered once more to show off their handmade lanterns in the theme of "what brings you joy?"
